The artwork features the limbs of a woman in motion, as she endeavors to break free from the societal prejudices and assumptions that encumber her body. Through a dark-red hue, the piece evokes the infernal nature of the female body, which is frequently stigmatized and punished for expressing sexual desires. The slow sensual movements along with the faint sounds of burning fire, further allude to an inescapable purgatory which women are subjected to at the hands of these social constraints.
